consulting

social impact, infrastructure & prevention

I have spent more than a decade working at the intersection of major infrastructure, government policy, and community impact – as a practitioner, strategist, and advisor. I have seen what it looks like when social obligations are treated as compliance exercises, and what becomes possible when they are taken seriously.

My consulting practice draws on that experience to support organisations that want to do better – not just meet the standard, but understand what their work means for the communities it touches, and act with genuine accountability.

Past clients include Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW, and the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment.

areas of practice

  • social impact assessment

Rigorous social impact assessment for infrastructure and development projects – from scoping and baseline analysis through to monitoring and evaluation. I bring both the technical framework and the lived understanding of what community impact actually means.

  • community engagement

Genuine engagement, not consultation theatre. I design and lead engagement processes that reach the people most affected, build trust, and produce findings that actually shape decisions.

  • social procurement & local content

Strategy and implementation support for social procurement frameworks, local content plans, and supplier diversity programs – with experience across major infrastructure and government projects.

  • First Nations engagement

Respectful, relationship-centred engagement with First Nations communities and organisations. This work requires humility, time, and accountability – not a process checklist. I approach it accordingly.

  • prevention of gender-based violence

Primary prevention strategy, policy development, and facilitation for organisations working to prevent gender-based violence – including workforce DFV policy, gender equity audits, and facilitator training.

  • facilitation design & delivery

Workshop and process design for complex stakeholder environments – government, not-for-profit, community. I am trained in experiential and participatory methods and bring warmth and rigour to every room.

working together

I work with government agencies, major project proponents, not-for-profits, and peak bodies. Engagements range from discrete pieces of work to longer advisory relationships.

I take on a small number of consulting engagements at any time. If you are scoping something and want to explore whether it is a good fit, the first conversation is always no-obligation.
